Synesi has seen the light
Good shit?
Hello people!
My name is Synesi and I would like to join the Federalist Party.

Now you may ask: "But Synesi, I thought you were AMP4EVAH?"
AMP is just a shell of a party. Increasing numbers and revising documents is more important than a purpose and driving force.
AMP was born in the frying pan. Members of the military rose up and said we want representation. It was always us against them. We were continually being honed and tested. Whether it was AMP vs "Elite", or AMP vs USWP, we always had our back to the wall and we thrived because of it.
Now I'll say up front that I was never a very active party member on the AMP forums. My activity was primarily irc and I never really had the intention to get involved in party leadership. As commander of first TC, and then Flight Training; I did not think it was wise to split my time between the two. Running a training branch is a full time job.
Anywho, over the past couple months things just havn't felt the same and it was only recently that things sort of clicked as to why. Without a fierce competition driving it's members. Everything just sort of became boring. Cabinet spots were just there to put on an eResume and everyone just goes through the motions. AMP rose up in the heat and could only thrive in the heat. It's really just an autojoin party for military members who don't really feel the need to look for a party, so they pick AMP by default. As a member, this is just as much my fault and anybody else's, but I don't have the time to actually do something about it. I was member #10 of the AMP and when you were essentially a founding member, it's hard to let it go.
The atmosphere of the game is no longer a place where military members feel like they don't have a say, and until the AMP figures that out, they will just be a party, and that's it.
For my entire eLife, I have served a cause that I had to put before my own desires as a player. So for once, I am doing something for myself, I am going to be selfish. I am joining the Feds.
Then you ask" "Whow whow whow Synesi, so are the Feds just a rebound party for you?"
And Synesi responds: "No, not at all, I have been watching the Feds for a long time now. The only thing that has kept me away this long was that I felt an obligation to the AMP that I wasn't really able to cast off. When I was able break my own chains, the Feds are my Freedom."
If you will have me, I will be yours.

Synesi, we'd be glad to have you in the Feds. Though I do not know AMP as well as you, your words definitely seem like the truth. Nice job coming out with them, takes some courage to leave a party that you were in for so long.
Glad to have you in the Feds, do hope you stick around and like what we're after. Access granted, have fun on teh forums.

Re: Synesi has seen the light
Synesi, I know how hard it is to leave a party you've founded. Hell, I pretty much founded the Feds and I know how hard it would be for me to leave.
But your right in your assessment, I've seen AMP go down the tubes for a few months now in the way people are only going through the motions for titles and the currently leadership perpetuates it.
One thing is for certain about the Feds, though, I've seen in almost 5 years that Feds will never settle for the status quo. If you are looking for accountability among leadership and a party that changes with the times, you've found a home.
Welcome!

Re: Synesi has seen the light
I don't know the AMP party well enough to say anything about it good or bad, but I do understand leaving one party for another, as I did that myself today. One the one hand, you want to make sure that it's an amicable split and that no one takes it personally. On the other, you want to be someplace that is active and going places, full of a certain proud and horny energy.
It had to be a difficult choice for you, but I think you made the right one.
