Re: Dr Who
Jakov put forward some theories about the new doctor...like that he might also be The Master or something.
I don't know about all that. I do enjoy a cranky Scottish Doctor, though.
To be honest, I kind of hated that episode. Mostly because they did a 'zonk' sound effect like it's a flippin cartoon or something. I get that they want to balance the serious with the funny, but they're going about it all wrong.
I remain hopeful, but I wasn't terribly impressed with the first episode. Although the clockwork bad guys were kinda cool. I liked them better this time.

Re: Dr Who
That is an interesting theory. The master could be future iterations of the Doctor, who traveled back through out his own timeline. This could work as the Doctor feels terribly guilty about Gallifrey.
That could have driven him mad, eventually. The Doctor is the "hero" of the Time Wars. If the Doctor was indeed the Master, he would harbor that guilt and angry. And that would explain why The Master said that the Time Lords made him into a weapon.
I am not sure whether I believe this to be true. As I think the Doctor bears less guilt now over Gallifrey. But it is plausible progression.
At least the Doctor was still very much the Doctor. I just did not like him. xD It will be interesting to see how it plays out. And I will watch every episode, either way.

- Robots!:
- And they did do the robots well. It definitely explains them a little bit better than in the other episode with them. I would expect that we will see them again further on down the line. If they have been around long enough to see dinosaurs, there is definitely a history there we are not seeing.
That makes me wonder more about them and their full past.
