Man The Walls....Better Yet, Watch Them
In some our epic battles, especially as we seek to claim our land back from Serbia and wreck theirs, I see more and more damage wasted in our patriotic fervor.
This is nothing new, we have always at times been very wasteful of our damage, especially during wars that involve our nation directly.
I enjoy a good True Patriotic Medal from time to time, but more importantly I enjoy winning the battles and campaign.
The battle is divided in 4 different divisions, each with its own "wall" or bar. I am going to use the term wall. It reminds me of V1.
Each age level, experience level, is responsible for their division. As much as I would like too, I can't fight for Div 1, Div2, or even Div 3 now. I can only throw my puny damage for Div 4. So, I need Div 1, Div 2, and Div 3 player to fight, and fight intelligently. Even if we sweep Division 4, if we lose the rest, we lost the campaign. All divisions need to be won as often as possible. Because of that damage must be spend, and just as important, must be held for when needed.
All players need to learn the skill of watching walls.
As time progresses walls are updated showing the what percentage of damage that was dropped for each side. When looking at this, no one should drop damage when its 55% or more in your favor.
If its 60% or more you are just being wasteful. Your just the chubby kid who just chows down all the ice cream/chocolate leaving none for future kids. In this aspect, leaving no damage for future battles.

CrashThompson - Division 2 Defender of Canada
Bestowed by Eric Last on 21 April 2013
One day, when I logged on I saw that Canada had started a RW. I had a bunch of Energy Bars saved and bought some cause well, I wanted to have some fun. I earned the title Division 2 Defender, because I fought hard, but also smart. I got 4 Battle Hero medals just from that one campaign. I carried and changed the tides of war for 6 battles (including the 4 BH's).
This isn't to brag, but I was smart. I dropped a lot of damage, but I didn't waste it. I dropped as needed, when needed. I was able to spread a lot of damage over 6 different battles to help Canada win that campaign. I didn't blow it all at once, I dropped, watched the wall. When it went from 55% to 51% I dropped more till it was up to around 54-55%.
During one of our operations overseas where we deployed to Belgrade, Serbia to assist ally resistance wars, I would spread my damage across 3 different RW's. At one time, I was the BH for an Albania, Croatian, and BiH by watching them all and dropping damage on all three. All three battles were succesful. I was able to smartly spread my damage among three allies and help them win battles during their off time. I made the best use of my damage.
So, when you are fighting, watch the wall. Watch your nations percentage and decide, is it a good time to drop damage now. Because all you have is the damage you can produce. Does the campaign need my damage for this battle or will it need it for the next? Are we carrying this campaign and could an ally use my damage use it? Look at the priorities we post on the forum, if 1st priority is going well and you need to drop your damage at that time, then drop it for 2nd priority.
Damage is becoming one of the most valuable "currencies" in eRep. It determines a nations strength and it is now being paid for via Command Orders. Never waste yours, always watch the walls, always help.
Damage is always needed somewhere, whether for this current battle, a future battle for the same campaign, or an ally who just needs a bit more to get them over that 50% hump.
Use it, and use it wisely soldier.
(Note, this will be edited and cleaned up before I publish it as an article.)

Re: Man The Walls....Better Yet, Watch Them
Good shit?
There is a parable from the early 1900's that best illustrates what crash is trying to say here:
- Spoiler:
- A man is attending the funeral service for his wife of many years. At the end of the service, the pall bearers are carrying the casket out when they accidentally bump into a wall jarring the casket. After hearing a faint moan, they open the casket and find that the woman is actually alive.
She lives for ten more years and then dies. A ceremony is again held at the same place and at the end of the ceremony the pall bearers are again carrying out the casket.
As they are walking the husband cries out, “Watch out for the wall!”

Yeah, this is Crash writing a less complicated, easier to understand, and more or less better version of the article I said I was going to write ages ago but never did.
Nice job, Crash.
Also, lol, Donovan Zoi.
