Re: Access Request
Thank you kindly! :)
(Darn, sorry, wasn't aware I needed to provide my profile link -- still on vacation mode I guess. I hope it wasn't too much of a hassle!)

Re: Access Request
You don't, really. I just couldn't find you on erep. I know you're from Greece, so I wanted to see if you were a spy.
Are you?

Re: Access Request
I guess we'll never know...
Actually, my introduction on the previous forums addressed the matter, so I may as well re-post here as a re-introduction.

Hello all!
I figured I'd do the decent thing and join the party seeing as I've been voting for it the past couple of elections. Can't say I'm exceptionally high on the party lore scale, but Gnilraps' articles won me over a couple of months ago. (Won me over from where? Nowhere in particular, I've been apolitical ever since I acquired my in-game USA CS.
Seeing as I'm a random foreigner with a profile that doesn't fit a born-and-raised American profile, here's full disclosure. (Pardon the rambling.)
My original CS is Greek, and I am enlisted in a Greek MU, Macedonian Phalanx. I'm assuming that this is in no way undesirable. My first priority IN WAR falls with Greece, and that's where the vast majority of my influence goes. You're only likely to see me on a US battlefield when battles are not critical in the Balkans... but it's the Balkans we're talking about.
That said, my industry is located in the United States. I don't work my companies for profit -- aside from the occasional splurge on weapons for rockets (damn expensive), I actively support the budding players in my military unit and offer guns for work for ten of 'em. I'm interested in a stable American economy, which to a great extent depends on a strong population that's productive on the influence end of things. With more recent changes in the battle module, it's probably been more critical than ever that newer players (the majority of those comprising divisions I and II) get all the support and supplies they need.
I served a bit over a month as the eUSA ambassador to Greece until such time as I was dismissed for inactivity. (I'll contest that for anyone who needs to know more, but I won't start presenting a case for no cause whatsoever.) I'll merely state that my experience with the US government in the last handful of months has left me with a sense of refined decay (maybe it's just ennui), press sensationalism, a dash of nepotism and incompetence. I met two or three admirable individuals, but the rest I wouldn't qualify as crossing guards, much less as cabinet members. (Sorry, I'll nip that rant in the bud.)
In RL, I'm a dual national, Greek and American. I live in Greece, I vote in Florida (with an absentee ballot, woo). I'm fluent in Greek and English (English being the dominant language despite being raised and living in Athens), so fling your most convoluted textual creations at me with glee.
And now, before this turns into an "I like yoga, margaritas and long walks on the beach" sort of presentation, feel free to direct me to any information I should know about this forum and about the party!
Again, hello all!
---
And at this point, having served in both eUS and eGreek administrations (in the State Department and eGreek MoFA), having seeped in the political culture of each country at a good-enough level and having just exited vacation-time two-clicker mode, I'd like to ask the following.
Since I'm virtually unknown, since I'll never make presumptions and since I'm either considering entering politics OR joining the Marines (mutually exclusive), I'd like to know how to get myself more involved with the party. I have no one to vouch for me (no one I believe knows me enough to accept such responsibility), and clearly I'd expect nothing less that a road that entails earning each member's trust, one member at a time.
But I've got spare time, even at work, and I'm looking to get busy this Fall, so if there's somewhere I can start, just let me know.
