AMA #1 - dk3dknight

After a very long vacation Ask Me Anything ( AMA ) is back and ready to take on all comers. First I would like to thank the Fun Department for once again helping to bring back an old favorite. The point of AMA is to have fun and get to know members of the Leadership and last roughly 1 week. The reason you should be interested is because with AMA comes the opportunitly to make some money if you question is not answered within 24 hours. You know the part that has perplexed me the most is how many people had difficulty with my name...

Ive been called deadknight darkknight and so many other variations and none of the have any connection to my name.

My name is actually very easy to pronounce... just say the letters d and k 3 and d and then just say knight and your good to go.

Some have tried to spell it out... some have made assumptions but if your curious dk actually stands for dragoonknight (my old handle) 3dknight was my handle in college, dk3dknight was the evolution of the two, dk so I would remember my roots, and 3dknight represents the future.

Past <--> Future when they meet its dk3dknight time.

To be honest I stopped using 3dknight just before I graduated college.

There is more to the discussion but im going to stop since I think im leaving the scope of your question.

The amount of bandwidth I waste with erepublik is small to the amount of bandwidth I waste playing other things.

I actually work O_O and stuff... after highschool I went to college, from there there got a job that payed crap... and now I work another job that pays even less...

Anyway mostly I play strategy games or rpgs, to be honest erepublik is a game that can be played in few seconds each day.... the community in a whole is why I continue...

To be honest I don't socialize much except with fellow family members... I have like one friend that sometimes I don't see for months... im kinda a loner... O_O

So I kinda tag this the amount of socialization that I physically can work into my work schedule and family schedule. Which is very little mind you.

I think he answered it when he told that he doesn't socialize much, so I'd like to know where's the problem. You can't find right people or you like it more when you're alone?

I can pretty much find myself in some of your answers especially when it comes to this one related to socialization.
My problem is that people like me when they need something from me. When they get it, our "friendship" is over. I always had someone I was close with throughout my High school and University time but when school time is over no one asks for me, cause there's nothing they need anymore.

Because of lot negative experiences I had, I'm pretty mistrustful towards everyone. It's hard to make an interaction with someone when you look at him like he's representing threat to you.

I don't like to go to parties cause I feel lost in big groups of people, especially if I don't know majority of them. Nowadays it seems that parties are only place to go, so one who doesn't like them have a really big problem.

When I've joined Uni, I've decided to open a Facebook account so I can socialize easier with my new colleagues. I've tried to interact with those who seemed to have same interests as I have, but they weren't interested in my company. Only messages I was getting were those well known to me, "Hey man how can this/that be done? What do we have to do? When do we have a class..."

I'm pretty worried about situation I'm in, cause I feel more and more isolated with each day without someone who'd enjoy my company. Only thing that helps me feel better are places like forums cause it's good to share your thoughts even if that, what you've written, remains unread or without response.

I have to say that is loaded question that could take several routes, I won't list all my problems because I think that would goo way beyond all context of this.

So ill try not to psychoanalysis myself and go into the simple stuff..

I am a very emotional person with a very short temper, my father is very similar his brother is very similar, my way of correcting this is to bury my emotions and generally stuff everything down.

I can handle criticism to a good extent, but I don't really respond well to angry criticism...
Emotionally unbalancing me as a vehicle of criticism fails on me, its actually very difficult for me to hold on logically to such barrage of that kind of criticism.. which usually leads me to personally avoiding all contact with friends and family while I work on rebuilding myself emotionally.

That entails meditation and praying... and alot of alone time.

I am not at point of my life that I can offer much, so why bother trying to form a long term relationship with someone right? When I am where I want to be in life that is when I should seek someone to add to it.

This is backwards to societies concepts of instant gratification and sexulization, which I don't believe in. Society may live its life its way I will live it my way, if I am a loser for it so be it.

Where is fingerguns you ask, I assume at home or working, last I heard.

Can I bring her back you say also, she comes back from time to time to check on everyone.
I had a good conversation with her a few months back, a few weeks ago she logged in and had
a good talk with a few folks on chat.

The first time she came on I was the Fun Director and she gave me access to a set of documents I really needed access to. She was very nice.
