Help!?!, I have a question!?!

Any questions you may have regarding SHIELD, the military module, heck even just general eRep stuff post here and someone else from the SHIELD community will come help you out.

So I just hit the big 3-0 (level 30 in the game) bumping me into div 3, but my strength is 5000 (I gain about 20/day q3 weight room and a q2 climbing center) is my strength high enough to meet my level/division? And how can I max my gains?

What do you want to do in this game?

Some people have fun just throwing damage on the wall, no caring how much it is, just doing their part. For that, you probably okay.

Some people want to be "tanks" for their division. When they lay damage, they want to lay the most. These people typically go for battle hero medals and such.

If you are the latter group, then don't fight for a few weeks and keep just training. Save your SS gold so we can upgrade you weight room to Q4 for faster free gains.

It talks about, in a sense, using the military to make slow amounts of gold via upgrading your TG's and purchasing training contracts.

The question to me is, are you planning on playing this game for a long time and want to be a force on the battlefield. Or are you playing this game for community and having fun.

That was just a lot of rambling. If I didn't answer your question, please restate exactly what you want to know.

I'm more interested in tanking, so I'll lay off for a couple of weeks from fighting and just train

also texas make sure if your serious about tanking to get all of your training grounds fully upgraded, start with Q1 move to Q2. with the Q1 and Q2 fully upgraded you actually make 13.4 gold a month which is pretty nice. If you buy gold i suggest the training packages,

Like this month if you bought it, it was +10% rank so you can fight and get GOW quicker but other months its a extra .50 gold per medal so that month you can just train.

Overall you want to sit in D3 aslong as possible because of how useless your damage is in D4

It's counter-intuitive to tell people not to fight, but if being a tank is your goal, that's sound advice.

Help! So I'm considering a training contract, I have a q4 weight and q3 climbing, and q1 everything else, what should I do?

finish your climbing, skip the shooting range for now, and start working on your special forces center, after that's completed, you can work backwards on your shooting range.  also, grab that pro contract, it's easily worth it once you have all your training centers up to full, i haven't checked the numbers on just what you have, but the math should be pretty easy to figure out.

As you can see, training with Q4 weight, Q3 climbing, and q1 everything else is just not profitable. A contract saves some money, but even with a 90% contract, you'd still be losing 1.22 gold a day after SS medals (~1.053 with HWs counted in), so you'd need to win a BH every 4 days to just break even.

If it were me, I'd train with just the Q3 and Q4 like in the last screenshot and continue to save to get the Q3 climbing to Q4 and the others up to Q4 in the manner twisted-pixel mentioned, but if you've got the gold to burn (or you know you can BH that often), do as you please. I just provided the profit margins in those screens.

Also, if you want the calculator I used, it's a feature of eRepublik Stuff +, but to use it, you need Greasemonkey for Firefox or Tampermonkey for Chrome.

How do you gain gold by doing this? I'm so confused... you don't get gold when you fight... or do you?

The gold comes from the Super Solider medals a player earns (5g for each one). The more strength you gain when you train, the faster the medals come, and the more gold you earn.

Oh I see... well it'll take forever to get my Weights Room to q4... or even q3 (mine is q2 and it costs 50 gold to get to q3)

as for me, I'm upgrading my Free TG first until Q4
and next I upgrade the 0,19g TG

I'm training with free and 0,19g TG, now it gives me 30 STR per day (both Q4 TG)

that means around 8 day I'm going to get Super Soldier Medal

simple math
Prize from SS medal 5g
Cost of training with free and 0,19g in 8 day 1.52g

So I can save around 3,48g per 8 days ^_^

Not only all this, but also avoiding fighting in the early levels, all while training as much as possible will keep your XP down as you grow in strength.  This will cause you to gain an edge over others in your division, since the divisions are allocated via XP.  eventually you'll be a powerhouse of your division, basically guaranteeing you a battle hero for when you actually do fight, earning you another medal, and another 5 gold, not to mention the ability to swing battles for your division easily in your sides favor.  I think someone else posted a chart explaining the cost efficiency of the training contracts, but it was too long for me to quote, so just have a look at that and determine when it'll be prudent to buy those and start using those expensive training grounds (q3 and q4).  only use the q1's and q2's without the contract, otherwise you're just wasting gold that you could be otherwise using to save up for those upgrades that you don't yet have.  remember, just because you have a level 2 q4 doesn't mean it'll be cost efficient to utilize it.

So to sum this all up, your best bet is to save all your CC and gold when starting out to upgrade your training grounds during the discount periods.  avoid fighting as much as possible to keep your experience level down to ensure that you stay in the lowest division possible, for as long as possible.  only fight if you're guaranteed a BH medal.  The point is to turn yourself into a divisional tank. once you're at the point that you're grabbing BH's left and right, you might as well let loose and get all the gold you can at that point.  but once you level up to the next division, stop fighting, rinse, and repeat.  getting to div 4 is a bad thing.  it will basically ensure that you'll never get another BH again, so grab those medals while you can.

and since we're on the subject, always do your homework when thinking about sniping a BH.  Does the leader have more str than you?  calculate about how many hits you think he used to grab his position, and see if you can beat it (with room to spare) based upon your own hit calculation.  only attempt a BH in the last few minutes of a round, otherwise, you're just leaving yourself open to be sniped by someone else.


some side notes to the quotes;

after upgrading the first two training grounds to full, skip the third and go straight for the 4th, it's more efficient on an overall daily use bases than the third, meaning you'll gain more strength for the daily gold cost.

also, there is no "set" schedule for the upgrades discount.  the only set schedules seem to be the training contracts and the (war/combat/battle/easterbunny) stashes. 

all this, is of course, assuming you don't buy gold.
