Ask a random question - Page 2 Empty Re: Ask a random question

Post by Blondeninja on Fri Apr 25, 2014 11:30 am

Edit; posted this as kyerby posted his stuff. Lol answer both :)

Car, no SUV or truck granted I don't own any.

Well basically I said assume the earth is perfectly flat, or that the rope can be tunneled through mountains or strung over valleys. It's actually really simple: circumference increases proportional to radius so a 1 m increase in radius would mean you would only need an extra 2pi or 6.28 m of rope.

If you have two envelopes, one has more than another and you pick one. Is it better to switch or keep it? (Why?)

Oh dear heavens! HIGHLY unlikely to be me, I just know random stuff about other random stuff. But I am honored to be thrown in with such good company. :)

Someone else will have to answer that one. But it leads me to a good question.

Totally missed where you said to ignore the variations in the earth's surface :X My bad.

And likewise. It won't be me. Most of the time quiz shows are about luck rather than intelligence. Sometimes you know the answer and sometimes you don't.

I guess its my job to answer all these unanswered questions...

Puts on Big boy pants...
@kyerby

That is a tuffy It would matter based on what kinda of questions are asked...
There is also two unknown variables, I do not know hawkie's and bettie's specialty
knowledge set, (and knowledge sets gained by close family or friends.)

As far as I know hawkie and bettie could be 10 times Jeopardy and Family Fued Champions...
or they could be the same person.. for all I know....

I have a feeling that Blondeninja's skillset is in technology, programming, and knowledge of DoD and Social and Physiological. (maybe DOT)

I have experience with DOT, FAA, and the certification process for Part 121 Operations and 135, also know about various random stuff...

There are too many conditions that are unknowns, I was originally going to write a script that answers the answer based on set conditions but there are too many assumptions and unknown variables to properly do so...

So I shall cheat, who ever wins the iq quiz is the one who wins... :p

@Blondeninja
I believe it is better to switch then to stay, Mythbusters did a test found you were more likely to win more....

Back in the days for the April 1st Issues of Gamepro they would rename the magazine what? It would be a practical joke issue making fun of themselves.

Sorry Kyerby... I am intelligent enough to know I want know part of answering your question. :-p Sorry bud.

I will however answer the last question I saw after that:

Any two people for dinner? No brainer. My girl and her daughter. As they are 1000 miles away, that would be a big deal to me. lol
But if it could not be them: Buddha and Jesus, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, My Grandfather from my Father's side who passed in 2001 and his dog, Einstein and Darwin, Freddie Mercury and Jimi Hendrix, Morgan Freeman and Morgan Freeman (yup that great that dopplgangers of him would be cool), and just for S&G's Edison and Telsa. Any of those would be great.

Why is the Fed Party so great?

Stack Overflow error is when you have multiple IQC Address attempting to execute at the same time causes a stack overflow error which causes the computer to divide by 0 and interfaces with the time relay battery in the case which causes a time/clock paradox which sets all IQC address to 0 and to execute causing a even worse stack overflow issues which results in a portal opening up and tron being released onto the world to get his revenge for what we did to him...

It can also happen when the token falls out of the token network... tricky to put it back in... that difficulty is the reason so few people use token networks, fixing the issue before stack overflow overheat protection fails can be difficult.

No that is not the correct answer but im too lazy to look it up in my tech books so you get a bullshit answer.

Did you ever play Neverwinter Nights?

Yes Dk, just a reminder to all that is NOT the right answer

Stack overflow happens when you exceed the scope of the stack or stack frame when a function is running. The stack is the data structure used as a LIFO (last in first out) primarily used with assembly language and such when working with registers in the CPU. Overflow happens mainly when you have very deep or infinite recursion, or when you have an excessively large stack variable that allocates more memory than is available. Ultimately this is what's called a segmentation fault.

Simply put this happens when a function you write tries to use too much/do too much on the stack.

Infinite.

If you would be forced to live on a island for 30 days and 30 nights and you could choose between having a internet router or a cellphone which would you choose?

@blondeninja
Spoiler:

@Blondeninja

As long as you can accept that some of there concepts of how technology works will make you want to strangle someone, some of the concepts of the goverment working against itself make sense in small doses...

Accept the following concept that Members of Couter Terrorist Unit, FBI, CIA, Secret Service, President of the United States, presidents staff (joint chiefs), etc etc can be terrorist, terrorist sympthizers, spies, or plotting against america..

If you are capable of doing that you should enjoy it. Each episode is 1 hour long (ish) with 90% of the events taking place in real with a clock, example,
episode 1 might be 2am - 3am, episode 2 would be 3am - 4am...

A season represents 1 day aka 24 hours.

The main character uses any methods to get information including torture to get whatever he wants, with the clock ticking he sometimes skips the persons rights.

Assuming the island has all basic requirements to sustain life, I would choose the cell phone I guess. Though how I would get reception would be a better question. Maybe a sat phone instead of cell? Still I can live without internet, and I have the basic survival skills to survive 30 days on an island (provided there is fresh water, the means to make fresh water, and some sort of viable shelter to be made).
