Drew, just because you campaign in-game doesn't mean you will be selected to be high on our list. We have an application process done through a form in order to get selected. If you don't complete this application, you will be placed at such a point on the list that you will not get elected. Even then, completing the app does not mean a guarantee of a high position.

Go look on the political section of the forums here for the complete process.

When you have access, he means.

Your enthusiasm is great! There is a bit of a waiting period before you qualify because you need to be sure you understand the mechanics of how the game works, and you're also updated on current affairs. We can absolutely help you on both counts.

Be patient and learn all that you can. You'll be in Congress in no time!

Congress Elections Empty Re: Congress Elections

I'm in Congress now; the 65th has just started. If you have any questions about what a Congressman actually does, let me know.

One thing I can already tell you is that no one votes for individual Congresspeople, they vote the party line. When you campaign, in 30 or 60 days from now, you'll be running in here to explain to the party leadership why you are qualified.

They have a questionnaire that you fill out and you have to explain that you understand the Fed credo and bylaws, and you will be asked how you feel about various issues such as immigration.

And then a list is generated based on all those who filled out the questionnaire, and your qualifications are compared with everyone else on the list. This political party has 750 people; 48 people ran for Congress. 12 got in. So, you have a 25% of being selected.

This selection is done by the Party President with input from Party leadership. They prize loyalty and dedication and consistency. The best way to show one or all of these traits is to help out in some way, such as in a department.
